Would you love to generate traffic to your website from even a few of Facebook’s 500,000,000 monthly active users — but you don’t even have a Facebook page for your company? You don’t have to.
Earlier this year, Facebook made their familiar Like Button available for anyone to add to any web page with a simple piece of code. Add the Like Button to your site, and when a visitor who’s a Facebook user clicks on it, a link to your web page appears in your visitor’s news feed on Facebook. Once there, their friends automatically see it and can click on it, generating word-of-mouth advertising for you.
Used on a non-Facebook site, the Like Button serves much like the older Share Button. However, it’s faster to use and proving more popular.
Here’s where you get the code to add the Like Button to your site. If you’ve been using it already, I’d love to hear what your experience has been with it.
