If you’ve thought about selling your products to catalogers and online merchants, but weren’t sure how to go about it, the Mailorder Gardening Association (MGA) is offering a crash course on that very topic. From 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Monday, August 16, at the Doubletree Tree Magnificent Mile in Chicago, owners of several major catalogers and companies that sell to them will outline everything you need to know.
The program is part of the MGA’s summer conference, which runs from mid-day Monday, August 16 to mid-day Wednesday, August 18, overlapping with the popular Independent Garden Center (IGC) Show a short distance away.
Panelists include Dick Zondag (Jung Seed, Totally Tomatoes, Roots & Rhizomes, Vermont Been Seed, Edmunds Roses, McClure & Zimmerman, Seymours Elected Seeds, Horticultural Products & Services, R.H. Shumway Seed) Skip Miller (J.E. Miller Nurseries), Charley Yaw (Charley’s Greenhouse & Garden), Greg Brown (Brown’s Omaha Plant Farms) and Noel Valdes (Cobrahead).
Afterward, at the evening networking reception, you’ll have the opportunity to meet top decision makers at dozens of catalog companies. If you’re in town for the IGC Show, it’s a great way to get even more value out of your trip.
Program details are on the MGA website. Do let me know if you plan to attend. I’d love to meet!
