I’m in the middle of reviewing guarantee policies for companies that sell live plants. Policies vary widely, but one thing seems to be uniformly true: They’re virtually all difficult to find on every company’s website.
So far, the strongest guarantee I’ve found is also the shortest. Bluestone Perennials states simply: “We offer a 100% unconditional guarantee. If you are not satisfied, we will reship or refund immediately. We want you to be happy because we want to stay in business.”
Despite it’s obvious strength, I still had to search for the guarantee. Was there a “100% guarantee” burst on the home page or in the navigation? No. Was there a link in the navigation to “Our guarantee”? No.
You can find the Bluestone guarantee through either the “FAQ” or Customer Service” tabs that appear on every page. But why hide such a strong selling point?
More on guarantees – good, bad, and in between – next time.
