Go to YouTube and search on “gardening” and 474,000 results appear. Which ones make it to the top? YouTube’s search algorithm considers the following: title, description, tags, number of views, and ratings.
You have complete control over the first three, so pay attention to them. Always include a title and description that incorporates the most popular keywords people might search on to find your video. Augment them with tags – additional search terms that help pinpoint the topic of your video.
It’s a good idea, too, to include your URL below each video on your YouTube channel, as well as in the Profile section.
