Today’s post is promotional suggestion sparked by, of all things, the Dutch post office. Let me explain.
While trolling around Stumble Upon — the social networking website that helps visitors with common interests share their favorite sites – I typed in “gardening.” The first result that appeared read New Seeded Dutch Stamps bloom into living plants.
I remember buying a few seed-impregnated, plantable note cards when I first saw them a number of year ago. I haven’t seen much of them since. But if the Dutch Post Office can use them for promotional purposes, why can’t we?
Try a “thank you for your order” note on a seed-impregnated card included with outgoing orders. Or offer to gift wrap in plantable wrapping paper. Or simply include the seed-impregnated cards or other paper products in your catalog. I’ll bet your customers will be charmed by them.
